The Elanex Hispanic Practice is focused on the needs of companies marketing to or employing
the 40 million Hispanics in the US. We help companies
to take advantage of the market opportunity through translation of websites, marketing materials, product labels,
advertisements and promotions. We help companies employing Hispanics through translation of policy manuals,
training materials, legal documents, and through cultural consulting services.
Why focus on the Hispanic market?
Today, as the US population rapidly approaches 300 million, Hispanics make up
more than 14 percent of the US population – up from 4% in 1967, and the percentage is expected to rise to around
25% over the next 40 years. This dramatic change in the make-up of the US population has already
led to business opportunities (such as the well-publicized ‘salsa vs ketchup war’ of the 90s).
It is now beginning to affect employers in more wide-ranging ways as policy documents, internal
communications, contracts and other materials must now be made available in Spanish.
Our Hispanic practice team
Our team consists of nearly 500 Spanish / English translators, our top Spanish and English editors,
as well as Spanish-capable project managers and other specialists. Our team includes native speakers of each of the
different national varieties of Spanish spoken in the US, as well as experts in 'generic US' Spanish which can be
used across a broader market.
