All Elanex technology used in support of the translation process has been designed, developed, and is operated by Elanex in our secure data centers. This includes translation memory and glossary management, document management and preparation, financial, CRM, billing, etc. A complete list of our supporting software is given below. We are not reliant upon external suppliers to maintain/update this essential technology but have taken ownership of the core delivery mechanism that supports our clients. Our linguistic processing expertise is very strong and contributes to tools that enable greater cost saving for our clients in comparison to our competition.

Elanex Translation Manager (ETM)
ETM is a desktop client for managing the document-specific parts of translation projects.

The Inventory is one of the central Elanex technologies: a server based, advanced translation memory system. The Inventory has its own web-based management system, and is accessible for matching against translation projects through ETM.
Project Management System (PM)
PM is the primary system used by project managers to manage translation and other types of projects.

Practitioner Database (PDB)
The PDB is the primary storage area for information about all our ‘practitioners’ (translators, editors and other specialists). The PDB resides within the PM system and enables Elanex to:

- Manage qualifications and practitioner points
Intelligent Practitioner Matching System (IPMS)
Project Managers rely upon the IPMS to choose from 34,000 language professionals and creates the most qualified translation team based on language pair, subject matter, certifications, scoring (see Quantitative framework below) and more.
Elanex Intelligence System (EIS)
EIS (pronounced ‘ice’) is perhaps the most useful resource in Elanex for team members: it contains a huge repository of information on our company, industry, systems and the general art of managing translation projects. This central knowledge base contains well over 10,000 individual articles that are cross-referenced and linked throughout EON.
Glossary Manager (GLOSS)
GLOSS is used to manage and create glossaries that are subject- and/or client-specific, for use across projects.
The style guides system (which sits within the PM system) is used to create and manage style guides for use on all projects.
Practitioner Resource Center (PRC)
The PRC is the primary interface for translators to interact with Elanex.

Elanex Translation API is a RESTful programming interface to our on-demand translation service expressIt. expressIt AI workflow and project management technology connects specialist translators and editors into a seamless, 24×7 fully-automated professional translation system.
Web Services API
The Web Services API provides programmatic access to most features of the Client Portal. In other words, a client with the capability to develop software can automate all activities necessary for working with Elanex.

Access to all Elanex systems is encrypted and authenticated, and permissions are granted separately for each component of the system. Source materials and completed translations can only be accessed by personnel with appropriate levels of access permission.
